FANTASTIC place to stay The apartments were great quality for the price! Flowers on the towels, daily muffins and pastries, and free parking! It was so useful having a full kitchen and dining room, which were adequately stocked. We didn't want to leave. Coin operated laundry available. Bed was SO comfy.

more of local residence than travelers It is close sleep to airport but has many locals living in building. semi clean and outdated furniture and bath, in a very residential area near local school, only fast food options close by, no nice sit down restaurants . I DO NOT recommend for a long stay vacation.

Average Stayed in apartment 214 for one night in June 2024. Spacious apartment on first floor at the front of the complex. Suitcases need to be carried up a flight of stairs. Clean apartment and comfortable bed. Shower head was quite small. Some broken furniture - needs a bit of TLC. Narrow balcony - just fits a chair. On the main highway so there was a fair bit of road noise and the garbage truck came at 4.45am. Friendly reception - okay for an overnight stay.

Value and position Clean and comfortable and quiet, conveniently situated particularly if you are attending Cairns Base Hospital. 2 minutes walk to the Cock and Bull Hotel, 200m from a well stocked Night Owls store and petrol station. On site parking a plus. Small continental breakfast is supplied.Room we had has king bed, fridge, sink and microwave etc. Obviously up grading is in progress, the only negative in our unit is the doors s hould be the next upgrade. Regarding booking be aware one site looks like it is a booking site for this motel, be sure you are looking at the true Palms site. We consider it one of the best value for money motels in Cairns.

Cairns City Palms Nice rooms with microwave and coffee /tea making facilities. Very affordable accommodation with very comfortable beds Paula and the staff went above and beyond to help my family when we were stranded in Cairns due to flooding in Nth Qld. Paula was under the pump with no phones and internet down due to flooding but still managed to be so professional I would highly recommend a stay at Cairns City Palms and I thank her and the friendly welcoming staff who assisted to made our stay relaxing.

Cairns North not Cairns City I saw ‘Cairns City’ in the title & booked, but don’t be fooled like I was as the motel is up in Cairns North, a good 15 minute walk from the Cairns CBD & Esplanade area. The view from my apartment was the Cairns State High football field on Sheridan Street. That said, the motel was decent for the price charged ($180 a night in peak season) and the Wi-fi was strong which was important as I was working remotely for a full day from my room. It’s by no means a modern motel but the room size was adequate & had everything I needed for a short 2 night stay. The room was well prepped, with a fresh tropical coconut fragrance as you walk in. There is a bit of noise from the Main Street outside and you can hear other guests next door from time to time but overall nothing too distracting. There were cafes & shops nearby within walking distance including a bakery 5 minutes up the road which does espresso coffee. But it is not a city motel & without a car it’s a hike to get to the Cairns esplanade/lagoon area where tourists normally go. On the first night I walked into town & saw the laser light show installed for the Cairns Festival near the Pier Bar & had a massage treatment at Foot & Body in Orchid Plaza.

Very good value for money Service upon arrival was great, and stayed that way from all staff the 4 nights we stayed here.3 of us stayed in a 2 bedroom self contained apartment.Well appointed, tidy and clean.Large shower and bathroom. only gripe was water pressure and temperature, both fluctuated considerably, but liveable!Scones every morning.Very good value for money, will stay again

Sets a new standard for motels Might be the best cheap motel I've ever stayed in to be honest. Beautifully refurbed rooms with a nice TV, cold air con and decent WiFi. What more can you ask for? The scones with jam and cream were to notch and to top it all off there was even complimentary pod coffee. Blew my mind for the value.
